WHR North Wales Group – October Social Evening

Wednesday evening, 10th October at 19:30 at Mountain Rangers Football & Social Club, Rhosgadfan. October’s guest speaker will be Dave Waldren with his presentation – ‘Cambrian Country’, see details below.

CAMBRIAN COUNTRY
The show is a photographic journey with images from the 1930s to the 1970s. In the first half, we start at Shrewsbury, where we see ex-Cambrian locos on-shed, and then travel along the Cambrian main line to Aberystwyth, taking in the Welshpool and Llanfair line on the way. In the second half, we visit the Vale of Rheidol line and then traverse the coast line to Pwllheli. All of the images are from negatives and slides in Dave’s own collection, mostly unpublished, by many distinguished photographers including Colin Caddy, P.M. Alexander, Ken Cooper and P.B. Whitehouse.
