When you know the timings for the crossing at Britannia Bridge, it might be tempting to nip through. The following directive has been issued which, whilst aimed at staff, is a timely reminder, now that traffic is building up, for everyone visiting the railway to take note of.
The company works closely with the relevant enforcement agencies to seek the prosecution of road vehicle drivers that break the law in relation to the observation of the road signals on the crossing.
Enforcement is made harder when our own staff are found to be those violating the rules. Just because you work for the company does not excuse you from complying with the red lights. In future any occurrences of employees disobeying the road signals will be considered as an act of gross misconduct and appropriate disciplinary action will follow.
