Russell Update for the Past Present and Future Event in June

On Saturday evening a test train ran from Pen y Mount to Beddgelert with Russell in charge. This was a special train run in an engineering possession so that various tests and checks could be undertaken. It also had the beneficial side effect of us being able to video it in ways not normally possible.

This was a test to make sure that all would be well for the June gala, don’t miss out – WHR: Past, Present and Future – 21st – 23rd June. This is an amazing must see video!

This shows WHHR loco Russell hauling their heritage train from Pen y Mount to Beddgelert. This took place after service train hours and in an engineering possession, this meant that we could fly a drone closer to the train than usual which will not be possible during the gala in June.
