FRS Bristol Group Meeting Thursday 21st November 2019 at BAWA ROOM 1 – Our second meeting of the 2019-2020 Season features John Burrows “The 1966 Severn Bridge (& the M48 Wye Bridge)”

‘The Bridge that changed the world’s greatest bridges’

It is now over fifty years since the Aust Ferry was replaced by the Severn and Wye Bridges. John Burrows will take us through the story of these two iconic structures.

The programme for the rest of our 2019-2020 Season is below. Please note these Meetings in your diaries to make sure you don’t miss an interesting series of talks. Better still tell your friends and neighbours and bring them along.

Thurs. 6th February 2020: Ian Rudd “Railways in South America”

Thurs. 5th March 2020: Ian Cowling “Developments on the Lynton & Barnstaple Railway”

Thurs. 23rd April 2020: Iain Wilkinson, FR Co. Director for Volunteering; “Volunteering on the FfWHR”, also the Group AGM

Meetings start at 19:45 and take place at the BAWA, 589 Southmead Road, Filton, Bristol; BS34 7RG, directions at: www.bawa.biz . This meeting will be in ROOM 1 which is accessed by the main entrance at the front of the complex.
