Welsh Highland Railway Poster Exhibition
As part of the celebration of 21 years since the rebirth of the Welsh Highland Railway and the commencement of passenger services between Caernarfon and Dinas, local and railway artists were commissioned to enter a poster competition. Their brief was ‘Views from the train’ or ‘Train from a location’.
From a large pool of submissions, judges have chosen their favourite paintings, which have subsequently been set into posters.
The winning posters will be on display, including the highly commended ones, and visitors will be encouraged to complete a voting slip of their own favourite. It will then be displayed as the peoples choice. The exhibition takes place at the new Caernarfon Railway Station, at the weekends from 23rd of September until the 28th of October. This restriction is to allow the builders to move back into the station during the week to continue their amazing work.
