Seasonal Housekeeping:

Spring is in the air and everyone is beavering away to prepare stations, carriages, locos etc in readiness for the start of the daily service. So this is a timely reminder that things work a little differently in the season compared to the winter months.

Parking:

Staff are requested NOT to park at Harbour Station during the day. Please use our overflow/staff car park at Llyn Bach. If you are a regular member of staff or volunteer, you may obtain a car park pass from the booking office for the year with your registration on it.

Staff/Volunteer Pass:

These are available from your line manager. They entitle you to free travel during the period you are volunteering/working. Remember that you must obtain a ticket to travel from the booking office unless you are travelling to/from your place of work. Please check locally for conditions at special events as they may vary. The pass also entitles you to a discount in the cafes or in Spooners in the evening, off food only.

Post and Parcels:

Following a fire safety audit, we are more restricted for space in the post room. So while we are still prepared to accept post and parcels, arrangements must be made for immediate collection – no personal parcels may remain in the post room for over 24 hours. Failure to do this will mean that the service will have to stop.

Who are you??

Finally, we have a large number of new staff in our cafes, booking offices and on our trains this year so please do not expect to be recognised. Wear a name badge if you have one (if you want one, get it from the stores office) and carry your pass. Say hello and explain who you are. It is always mindboggling for new staff when they meet lots of volunteers for the first time.

Thank you to everyone for your help and see you all soon.

Thanks,

Clare Britton, Rheolwr Masnachol • Commercial Manager
