Warning: New 40mph speed limit on A497

Be warned, the speed limit on the section of the A497 between Minffordd and The Cob has been reduced to 40mph.

Travelling towards Porthmadog, the speed limit comes into force between the previous boundary of the 40/60mph section, and the steps at the foot of The Cob below Pen Cob. The Cob itself remains 60mph.

This is a new limit, and it should be assumed that the authorities will be trying to catch people out, so be vigilant!
