Brief extract from the EWP’s Report by Eileen Clayton
Once again we were at Boston Lodge, with lots of maintenance work to do. The weather on the Saturday was atrocious with high winds and heavy rain, but thankfully the work was inside; however trees on the line prevented us from having the usual Saturday evening train and we ate in Spooners instead.
Work was carried out in the Brass Foundry, Offices, Main Works, Erecting Shop, Den Lighting and the Telephone Exchange
This was a particularly busy weekend, on Sunday it was after 18.00 hours before quite a lot of us left.
Neil really appreciates the support he gets from all the Team, especially when things unexpectedly go pear-shaped.
Once again, there is no high flying project, just more maintenance to do at Boston Lodge. It’s 20 years since we started the project to renew the electrical installation at BL. Things move on, specifications improve and materials deteriorate or damage so it is important that we continue to upgrade wherever necessary.
However, do not panic. There are several projects on the horizon.
