Mutual Improvement Classes 2019

Dates and information for the Operations and Engine Crews. It has come to that time of year again where we are looking towards our MIC for the following year, it has gone very quickly!

Firstly a big thank you for such a great 2018 season, it has not been without its problems but all handled very professionally and with great feedback from our visitors. The list that we compiled of things to look into from yourselves during the 2018 MIC is nearly dealt with, it gets smaller each year which means that we are heading in the right direction, some new on train signage for priority seating and toilet use is going to be trialed on the upcoming winter trains.

We are going to make the 2019 MIC slightly different from previous years as it’s always good to refresh the way in which deliver anything so that it does not become repetitive. A lot of the ideas for this stems from the feedback that you give us at the close of every MIC weekend and any ideas of how we could structure differently are gratefully received. We have exciting projects that will be coming into use that we are going to do practical sessions on such as our fantastic new station in Caernarfon, service carr 113 and our new on train ticket machines.

Of course we would still like to know of any subjects that you would like us to cover or discuss as that is extremely important.

Here is a little reminder of what happened last year!

The 2019 dates are going to be:-

26TH 27TH January
23RD 24TH February
9TH 10TH March

I would urge for those of you that have never attended one of these events, or are a trainee, to book as they are found to be extremely useful as well as a great reintroduction to the railway after a winter away from operating. For those of you that have been in previous years we look forward to seeing you again, although priority will be given to those that have not attended before if numbers become large.

Bookings for Operating staff come to myself sgreig@ffwhr.com and for engine crews please email Phil pbrown@ffwhr.com

We look forward to hearing from you and will update with more information as the winter progresses.
