General Manager’s New Office Arrangements:

As you might be aware I work closely with Karen Spring (Kaz) on HLF matters. She is very professional and supportive. She understands the railway and can deal with confidential matters. As of the 3rd of June she will relocate to my office here in Porthmadog. She will continue her duties as HLF project manager and will also add to her portfolio in managing the office.

We will be recruiting a more junior person to work as a PA for both of us, on a fixed term contract. Kaz will oversee that recruitment process and undertake to train that person to become a fully experienced assistant. I have every confidence in Kaz carrying out this role having watched her excellent work with the HLF trainees.

It will of course take some weeks to recruit the new assistant and during that time both Jo Vincent and Stephen Greig are offering every support as we look to work through the forthcoming board meeting and the opening of the new stations.

I would like to thank Kaz for agreeing to take up this extra challenge and I am really looking forward to working with her.
