Caernarfon update
A lucky day when I travelled to Caernarfon on the Welsh Highland on Saturday I was taking my friend Christine on her first Welsh Highland experience. Christine’s husband Brian and her 2 sons are staunch supporters of the Ffestiniog Railway and worked on the Deviation back in the 1970’s.
The icing on the cake was meeting Stuart McNair who gave us a guided tour inside where we saw the final preparations being made, ready for the handover to the Railway.
There will be some impressive views in the future, when all the work activities have finished on the quayside.
Here is where it all happens – Central Control!
Once the fencing is taken down, this is your view as you approach the station from the castle end.
As we went round the outside, the window cleaners were busy at work.
And the plaque was fitted! Looking forward to visiting again when it opens in time for the Santa Trains!
