Looks like a train heading for Blaenau doesn’t it? But no it’s a train going backwards towards Tan Y Bwlch. Look closely enough and you’ll see the driver sitting in the tender.

@ffestiniogwelshhighland’s Mountain Prince service takes you around the deviation spiral before returning to TYB for a lay over. Enough time for tea and cake!

Trains for Blaenau Ffestiniog will hopefully return during the Summer 🤞 Can’t wait for a train to Blaenau!

'GELERT EXPLORER' - EXTRA TRAIN ON 16th JUNE...

We've added an extra train for those who want to enjoy a train ride to Beddgelert from Caernarfon, as all trains from there were sold-out next week.

Journeys from Porthmadog still available.

ANOTHER BUSY DAY AT SPOONER'S...and, again, we're fully-booked for food tonight - Wed. 16th June...We're really pleased to see so many visitors come through the doors of Spooner's, but it has meant that tables for our 'Bar Nibbles' menu are fully booked this evening.We're still open for drinks of course, with table service available until 22:00. 'GELERT EXPLORER' - EXTRA TRAIN ON 16th JUNE...If you've looked at our online calendar recently you may have spotted that ALL our 'Gelert Explorer' trains next week were fully booked. OPENING HOURS @ SPOONER'S...It's time for the latest update on our Opening Hours and 'eat-in', 'drink-in' options...The 'Takeaway Service' from Spooner's Café will continue to be available from 09:00 to 16:00 every day - for local residents and visitors from near or far.Spooner's now has a 'table service' lunch menu on offer, which is available from 12:00 to 15:00.Our recently introduced Bar Nibbles menu is proving to be very popular and continues to be available as a 'table service' option from 16:30 to 20:00.Spooner's Bar remains open for 'table service' from 12:00 to 22:00, offering drinks from our wide range of wines, beers and spirits - however, we are now able to provide indoor seating, as well as that on our popular beer terrace...We've really enjoyed welcoming customers old and new to Spooner's since we re-opened - and look forward to meeting many more in the future.
