In 1957 the (Great) Western Region of BR still served the little town of Festiniog (as the runnining-in board proclaimed it) from Bala and we see a Pannier tank arriving thence with a freight. We then move onto the Cambrian Coast line where a Collett Goods 0-6-0 arrives at Minffordd station whose running-in board has recently had an addition in the form of a “Change for Festiniog Railway” sign, which we do, following “Prince” on a trip both up and down the little line to its then-terminii of Penrhyn and Porthmadog. How times have changed!
